AcaBelles

 

 

 As 2009 comes to a close, we'd like to thank everyone that has helped us out in any capacity to make this a great semester! First and foremost, to our fans, family, and friends, without your support AcaBelles would be nothing! We couldn't do it without you! Next to our alum, your continued involvement and support of AcaBelles should never go unrecognized! Especially to our former directors, Angela Ugolini and Joanna Drivalas, you continue to work to make AcaBelles what we became under your direction and your continued dedication to black, white, and hot pink is inspiring! Next to our Aca-Family, Reverb and All-Night Yahtzee, it is truly an honor and quite humbling to be a part of a group of such amazing musicians and the best aca-siblings any group could ask for!  Finally to those people who continue to inspire and motivate us to be the group we are today, whether you know it or not. Christopher Diaz and Ben Stevens, your workshop with us at SoJam is one that will go down in the AcaBelles record books! Nothing is more rewarding than watching two grown men cry from being moved by the music we make. We cannot thank you enough! Dave Sperandio, you're the man. Is there anything else to be said? Nope... And of course, Dave Brown, Alli Brooks, Lindsay Howerton, the brothers of the Beta Iota chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc, all of our sponsors, Florida State University Student Government and Student Senate, all of our Mr. AcaBelle contestants, and the many organizations on campus and around Tallahassee that have invited us to perform! Thank you for your continued support of AcaBelles!

 

Unfortunately, as the semester comes to a close we are also losing two of the most talented and dedicated AcaBelles we've ever had, Monica Valdes and Grier Hodges. The time has come for them to do bigger and better things beyond the comfort of FSU's campus and while we wish we could have for many more semesters to come, we wish them the best in all of their future endeavors!!

 

 On a happier note, OUR NEXT CD IS ALMOST OUT!! Yes, the album you have all been waiting for is currently in the mixing and mastering process and will be available to you very soon! The CD, Just Got Real, will have fan favorites like Dark Blue, Back to Black, Alone, Living on a Prayer, and many more! And now it's available for pre-order! Attention all music lovers! If you enjoy singing, beat boxing, or absolutely adore wearing matching outfits with 16 others, you should definitely audition for the AcaBelles! We are looking for some new talent for the group, and if you think you've got what it takes, come on down! On Sunday, August 23, there will be an informational meeting for all the FSU a cappella groups at 4 pm in Moore Auditorium. If you can't make the meeting, no worries. Just prepare a verse and a chorus of any song of your choice (preferably not classical) for the auditions on Monday, August 24 in KMU 204 or Tuesday, August 25 in KMU 340.
